If you are looking for something fun for your children to do over summer break, check out the Tacoma Art Museum. The museum offers a variety of classes for children ages 9-16. Each session will run Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and will be led by a staff artist as well as numerous special guests. The children are able to experience Tacoma in a unique way as each session includes daily outings throughout the city where they will learn about the art surrounding them in their daily lives. Glass making, sculpting and printmaking are just a few of the classes that will be offered for your youngsters this summer. All sessions require advance registration and payment, and it is suggested to sign up as soon as possible, as classes fill up quickly. For additional information on the program, please contact Education@TacomaArtMuseum.org or 253-722-2455. Let your children get out there this summer and tap into their artistic sides by checking out one of these exciting classes!
