More fun comes to local museum

The Children’s Museum of Tacoma just added new art to its outdoor playground. The art consists of two sculptures and was donated by Clara Ladd, in memory of her late husband Ottie Ladd. The first sculpture is a red metal horse named “Wildfire” and the other other is a colorful cow named “Daisy”. Both sculptures are designed with an aesthetic that isn’t figurative or realistic, which allows children to use their imaginations and interpret the art in a variety of ways. This approach to art is in line with how the museum prefers children to learn, letting them interpret art rather than have it explained to them. The museum is located on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma and the entry fee is a “pay-what-you-can” fee. Bring out the children to the unveiling event happening this Monday, August 26th, from 11am to 1pm, and let their imaginations run wild!
