Homes prices jumped 12.2% in May compared to numbers from last year. This is the biggest gain since March of 2006! Bloomberg also reported that each of the cities listed in the index, 20 in total, showed a price gain compared to 2012. Dallas and Denver reached the highest record dating back to 2000. This is the first time a city has hit a level this high since before the financial crisis peak. Of the 20 cities, San Francisco came in first with a 24.5% gain and New York brought up the rear with a 3.3% gain.
